Tropical Storm Olga was the fourth December tropical storm on record to hit land. It is also considered as the deadliest December tropical cyclone. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported that Olga became a Subtropical Storm Olga. BEcause of the strong wind shear and dry air, Olga weakened into a remnant low on December 13. The United States of America is not that much affected compare to the Dominican Republic. At least 22 people lost their lives because of deep flooding. Heavy rains triggered mudslides that was the reason, a man was killed on Puerto Rico. At least 19 people lost their lives in the Dominican Republic. Just a small amount of water would dump in some parts of the United States of America. The government warned the citizens in low-lying areas and those who are near the coastal areas to stay somewhere during the passage of the storm. It is always better to be prepared and to be calmed in order to think wisely for the possible ways on how to survive during the storm or hurricane.
