The Tropical storm Edouard was the fifth tropical storm of the 2008 Atlantic hurricane season. It formed in the Gulf of Mexico and forecasters expected it would move in the Texas-Louisiana directions with a higher gusts. That is the bad news for Texas because the southwestern Texas is just starting to recover from the damage that Hurricane Dolly left and then Edouard is beginning to make damages. The Tropical Storm Edouard had a maximum sustained winds of at least 45 miles per hour. Torrential rains that Edouard brought were expected in the Southern Louisiana. There was a possibility that tropical Edouard might become a hurricane. The weather bureau, National Hurricane Center, anticipated that Edouard might gain its strengths and they also said that it could reach hurricane strength and characteristics. A tropical storm watch was issued from the mouth of the Mississippi River to Intercoastal City, Los Angeles but in that advisory New Orleans is not included. The Government of Texas is monitoring the storm. They are preparing for the possible impact that the storm might make. Being prepared is really a great way to survive from a tragic situation. It is always better to be aware and alert.
