There are some surveys that different organizations have done. The leading service providers have been asked by the Outsourcing Center for their predictions about these hot spots for growth in the field of outsourcing. Even if the “nearshore” is a usual term about most of the outsourcing news and advisories nowadays. For example the Nearshore to Japan is China or Vietnam while those U.S. and European businesses are what they call offshore. Brazil is properly known as a nearshore provider but also a large onshore provider. Genpact, is a global business process and technology management company, anticipates nearshore service delivery centers will likely continue to expand. Executive Vice President of Sales, Business Development and Marketing, Robert Pryor, said that their operations will likely see an increase in the use of onshore centers. In fact, the government will be the key of this said growth in such a way that it will attract of incentives which will create to stimulate domestic job growth. But according to Mr. Deepak Patel, CEO of Aditya Birla Minacs, for him it does not matter whether it is a nearshore or onshore, what matters most to him is to deliver the right value to companies and the high quality services that their clients need. In the coming years, newer spots for the outsourcing will boom, but those outsourcers that know how to think wisely will choose the place that will bring the most value. While Mr. Kevin Schatzle, the President of Allied Digital Services, believes that nearshoring will increase in a couple of years because outsourcing in general will increase and it will expand. Mr. Kevin Schatzle predicts that in five years, as the outsourcing industry has reach its maturity, Canadian pricing will start to approach U.S. costs. On this issue, the COO of Infosys BPO, Ritesh Idnani, said that “the trend of nearshoring will continue to boost. The global economic status has eventually advanced the call to a more protectionist outlook for a certain countries, and that so called trend will like to continue in the next few years. They really have to continue to monitor all the happenings in the global market and they have to assure the outsourcing is still cost effective and it is still efficient to use by most of the companies that are already outsourcing. The outsourcing is anticipated to continue to expand in the global market share.”
Mr. Don Schulman, General Manager of Global F&A and SCM, IBM said that it does not matter whether nearshoring or not, what matters is more about growth because of the complex work moving into a outsourcing services environment. Outsourcing has gone too far, that is the reason it has led to moving in a centralised environment. Most companies are looking at their shared-services strategy as their unique way to be competitive. It is true this is not more likely about nearshoring. The point is that the outsourcing industry is anticipated to boom all over the world because it is really beneficial to a certain business as it serves as a unique strategy for them.
