Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, USA, said that a bonds of businessmen, education leaders and private investors that his state can be the nation’s next high-tech hub. During his speech at the Governor’s Technology and Economic Development Forum hosted by the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Perry said that in order to the next tech hub there must be a strong teamwork and dedication his people including the professors, researchers, administrators and legislators along with the private sector, working toward a common goal.” Texas is determined to move to high tech. The states of Ohio and Michigan already have made their names in the field of marketing and they are attracting large providers. The southwest US states are now ready to compete in the field of outsourcing. They are now offering strong incentives for companies, some by modifying previous incentives programs, and others are providing them with new benefits for the Information Technology sector. In fact, New Mexico offers firms a tax credit on expenditures of at least 4%, and a Manufacturer’s Investment tax credit of 5% of the value of qualified assets and properties used in their operations.
The state also provides a High Wage Jobs tax credit equal to 10% of the combined salary and benefits for each new high paying job. They will be gettinga minimum of at least $12,000 per job done. While in the states of Arizona, it combines incentives with the benefits of the public. The Arizona Job Training Program enables to allow any employer to create new outsourcing jobs in order to have granted a 75% of their training expenses. While in Texas, Governor Ricky Perry has made technology innovation one of his main priorities through the Texas Emerging Technology Fund.

According to the state government, they have allotted more than $193.7 million in funds to 131 companies, and almost $173 million in grant matching and research superiority funds to Texas universities.
