Hurricane Alma was the first named storm of the season in the eastern Pacific. It was the easternmost storm ever to form in the Pacific. It made landfall on the northern Pacific coast of Nicaragua but it is just a strong tropical storm. It was the first to make landfall on the Pacific coast of Central America. After making landfall, it continued moving in a northward direction. This hurricane Alma will cross over Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador, and it may also affect Guatemala. It is expected to bring total rainfall amount of 10 to 15 inches in the parts of Central America and Costa Rica. It has a total maximum storm amounts of 20 inches. These rains might trigger flash floods and mud slides. Hurricane Alma brought strong winds and heavy rains to Central America which had caused at least 10 people who lost their lives in Honduras and Nicaragua. In all the challenges that America gets, they can really surpass it all.
