    Hurricane Boris Regains Strength

    July 3, 2008

Hurricane Boris is the first hurricane of the 2008 Atlantic hurricane season. It was formed as a tropical storm in the west of Baja California. It was moving in the West direction trough Pacific. As it was moving to that direction, it was regaining strength. But the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is expecting this hurricane to lose its strength and degrade into a storm. Hurricane watchers in the United States of America is typically watching the Atlantic basin and they are giving attention to it more closely because the more destructive storms or hurricanes are more likely to form in that area. The hurricane Boris is classified under the Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of at least 75 miles per hour. Usually The hurricane season begins on June 1. The government’s Climate Prediction Center anticipates that 2008 will be an active year for hurricanes in the Atlantic basin, that is the reason why they are monitoring it more closely. When a hurricane occurs, do not panic and think for a possible ways on how to survive.
