Ohio Chief Says Outsourcing Dispatch Would Have Saved Other Officers’ Jobs

Chief Mike McCoy is the police officer in the village of Mount Sterling. He said that he has already planned ways on how he can his budget and save his force. Village Council has decided to lay off every dispatcher and officer but the police officer McCoy was not included. This move was forced due to the financial crisis. According to them, there was no money left to pay those officers.

For a long time, the several officials have already advised said the chief control his budget but he would not listen. That is the reason why some of the officer are laid off. McCoy did not answer on the accusations that the official given him, he just said that he was asked not to answer those allegations that is why he was not able to talk about that matter. But in just a few day, he thought that he was likely being thrown under the vehicle because most of the people was against him.

McCoy said that he already answered the mayor and the council that he had no right to spend a lot of money on the department without the approval of someone else. He thought that he wsa only the one who was being blamed. He really thought that was really unfair. Chief Mike McCoy is planning to outsource in order to save more money but the council President Lowell Anderson said that there was no formal proposal about outsourcing that was brought into his table. Outsourcing is really important because through this, the organisation will save a lot of money.

It is about 1,800 residents tat Sabins plans to make such a proposal to Mount Sterling.  Sabin provide round the clock protection for less than it took to run a full time department.  Outsourcing helps the industry to be more active and to have a progress.
