IBM is a leading Business Process Provider. It has opened its new state of the art technology services delivery center in Columbia, Missouri. This new facility will be having more than 800 job position. The new workforce is anticipated and expected to provide high quality Information Technology services to the IBM’s customers. The new facility of IBM will be joining its two other North American services contact center facility which is recently opened in Dubuque, IA and Lansing, MI. It has been the third new facility of IBM in the United States in the last 18 months. The new facility is considered to be the part of extensive network of IBM service delivery centers in almost 20 countries all over the world. Those of the IBM facilities is providing Information Technology services and Business process outsourcing capabilities to its clients.
The technical Delivery Services Center will primarily support US Strategic outsourcing clients, providing server systems operations, security services and end user services. The maintenance and the monitoring of computer hardware and software systems is included. The technical Delivery Services Center of the IBM is focused on increasing delivery quality and brings together all the IBM worldwide services delivery capabilities for Strategic Outsourcing.
The LEED is the third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance buildings. To incorporate the new facility into Columbia’s Sustainable City program the city of Columbia and IBM continue to worked together.
For the higher learning for recruitment and training of potential employees as well as hiring experienced professionals, the IBM will continue working with local and regional institutions of higher learning. To enhance their curricula to better prepare students for opportunities in the Information Technology industry, the IBM will look for opportunities to partner with schools.
