    Hurricane Boris is the first hurricane of the 2008 Atlantic hurricane season. It was formed as a tropical storm in the west of Baja California. It was moving in the West direction trough Pacific. As it was moving to that direction, it was regaining strength. But the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is expecting this hurricane to lose its strength and degrade into a storm. Hurricane watchers in the United States of America is typically watching the Atlantic basin and they are giving attention to it more closely because the more destructive storms or hurricanes are more likely to form in that area. The hurricane Boris is classified under the Category 1 hurricane with sustained winds of at least 75 miles per hour. Usually The hurricane season begins on June 1. The government’s Climate Prediction Center anticipates that 2008 will be an active year for hurricanes in the Atlantic basin, that is the reason why they are monitoring it more closely. When a hurricane occurs, do not panic and think for a possible ways on how to survive.

    Hurricane Ida, the first Atlantic hurricane to target and hit the United States of America this year. It was spotted toward the Gulf Coast with a sustained winds of 75 miles per hour or 120 kilometres per hour. It made landfall in eastern Nicaragua. This hurricane brought heavy rains which also brought the threat of flooding and storm surges in different parts of United States of America. According to National Hurricane Center (NHC), Ida is expected to weaken as it crosses Nicaragua and Honduras before moving to north and re-emerging into the Caribbean by Saturday and the Gulf of Mexico. There is a possibility that the hurricane will regain its strength with a maximum winds ranging from 39 to 73 miles per hour. Although it is anticipated to weaken, the U.S government is keeping a close eye and monitoring carefully on the Category 2 hurricane as it approached. But then, the residents were no plans to evacuate. The US are threatened by this hurricane because they are afraid that the US petrochemical industry,which are located along the Gulf, would be affected. But they stated an immediate plan if this hurricane hit them. Making an alternative plan is always important because it just means that you are prepared and ready for everything.

    Hurricane Fred is the second major storm of 2009 in United States of America. It has a sustained winds of 120 miles per hour. The hurricane Fred is quickly moving northward while the temperature of the underlying water should drop. At first, Hurricane Fred is classified under the Category 1 hurricane with a maximum sustained winds of at least 75 miles per hour. Then, it reaches in the category 3 hurricanes. After a couples of days, Hurricane attained its Category 2 position. According to the U.S. National Hurricane Center, “It is about 1,190 kilometers west of the Cape Verde Islands and it is moving towards north at 2 kilometers per hour with a sustained wind of 128 kilometers per hour.” Dry air and shearing winds were the reasons why Hurricane Fred got weaken until it classified into a tropical depression. The U.S. oil and gas operations were not effected. The US government is always preparing for a possible attack of hurricanes. It is always better to be ready and alert at all times. Do not panic.

    Hurricane Bill is the first hurricane in 2009 Atlantic hurricane season. This hurricane has a maximum sustained winds of more than 135 miles per hour. It is classified under the Category 4 storm which means it has the capacity to destroy small residences with a poor foundation. It may also caused minor to major erosion of beach and coastal areas. It may cause deep flooding. Hurricanes which are under the Category 3 and above on the five-step Saffir-Simpson intensity scale are considered major. These are really destructive type of hurricanes. It can kill people. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) that the hurricane Bill will pass between Bermuda and the United States of America. Yesterday, the Hurricane Bill was located about 740 kilometers east of the Leeward Islands. It has a sustained winds of at least 135 miles per hour. It is moving at the northeastern edge of the Caribbean Sea. No matter what happens, even there is a huge number of hurricane attacks, life will still go on. United States of America can surpass every obstacles that are coming into its way.

    Hurricane Matthew is the 13th named storm in the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season. It is formed in the Caribbean Sea. The United States of America is threatened by this hurricane because it will have an impact on U.S. Hurricane Matthew has a maximum sustained winds of at least 50 miles per hour. This hurricane is moving westward at 20 miles per hour. Hurricane Matthew could possibly ignore the pull of the upper-level low and there is a possibility that it will continue its movement of westward direction across Central America but as the reports stated it will never visiting the Gulf of Mexico. The U.S. government forecasters are confident that Matthew will possibly move in a more northerly direction but they are not sure if where the hurricane will go if it makes it into the Gulf of Mexico and how much strength it will have lost due to its interaction with land. Being optimistic and confident is really important to be able to have a harmonious life and being prepared for what may happen is significant in order to avoid panic and stress.

    Hurricane Nicole brings heavy rains and thunderstorm in New York and in U.s East Coast. This hurricane killed at least one child. The child was reported swept away when a house was under deep flooding. All the residents who are living near the coastal areas and those who are loving in a low0lying areas are warned to evacuate to a higher grounds because of a possible flooding. The amount of tropical moisture will be coming up in the U.s East Coast. Heavy rains with scattered thunderstorms will be felt in the New York City. As much as 6 inches of rains are brought by the hurricane Nicole. Some parts of this area will receive more rain than the usual amount of it. Torrential rain will be falling from the Carolinas to New York City. Hurricane Nicole is the 14th storm with a sustained winds of at least 39 miles per hour of the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season. Even though there is a tragic accident happens in someone’s life, people must learn to accept it and move on. That is the reason why America is so strong.

    Hurricane Danielle is the second hurricane of the 2010 hurricane season. It is considered to be under the Category 4 storm. It is moving in the Bermuda’s direction. The residents near the U.S East Coast are afraid of hurricane Danielle. They are threatened for the possible direct hit of Danielle. Hurricane Danielle has a sustained winds of 135 miles per hour and there is a possibility that it will still gain more strength. The center of the hurricane is possible to pass along the Bermuda territory. It is located about 480 miles south-east of Bermuda and it is moving north-northwest near 12 miles per hour. It is forecast to become a major hurricane with a sustained wind of 111 to 130 miles per hour and it is classified under Category 3. All the residents who are living near the coastal areas are advised to be ready for a possible evacuation if the hurricane Danielle continuous to strengthen its sustained winds. That is the great lesson that everyone must get, is to be ready and prepared for all the possible challenges that may come in our lives.

    Hurricane Alex is the first tropical storm to form in the 2010 Atlantic hurricane season. It slowly developed and formed in the Caribbean Sea. It is the first hurricane appeared on the month of June since 1995. This hurricane caused flooding along the Gulf of Mexico. The city of Monterrey is under deep water because of the torrential rains that the hurricane Alex brought. At least two people lost their lives as hurricane Alex hit their place. Santa Catarina river in Mexico is usually dry but when Alex came, it caused this river and major highways under deep flooding. A number of people in coastal areas are warned for a possible evacuation in a higher ground in order to survive before the hurricane hit. The electricity and phone lines were affected. The U.S state of Texas is prepared for a possible direct hit of hurricane Alex. That is the lesson that most people get when a tragic situation happens, to be prepared and alert at all times.

    Hurricane Earl is the fifth named storm of the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane season. It is the third hurricane to hit the United States of America. On August 29, 2010, Earl become a Category 1 hurricane but in just a couple of days, it becomes a powerful Category 4 hurricane with a maximum sustained winds of 135 miles per hour as it is moving toward the Caribbean. This hurricane earl threatened the residents of the East Coast after hitting the Caribbean. The Federal Emergency Management Agency of U.S warned and advised the residents near the Eastern Seaboard to be prepared for evacuation. They also warned the islanders in the Turks and Cailos to get down from their homes as Earl cosidered to be under the Category 4 hurricane with a sustained winds of 135 miles per hour. Hurricane Earl is expected to stay over the ocean before going towards north and turning parallel to the East Coast. It could bring strong winds and heavy rains in North Carolina. United States of America is so strong that is the reason why no matter what happens, they can still survive and move on.

    East Coast residents are bothered because of the hurricane Irene. It has a maximum sustained winds of 100 mph. The US National Hurricane Center reported that hurricane Irene could possibly be a major hurricane. Hurricane Irene is the ninth storm of the month of June to November but looks like to be the first hurricane to hit the United States of America since hurricane Ike hit the Texas coast in 2008. According to the reports, there will be effect on the oil and gas installations in the Gulf of Mexico. This hurricane Irene is under that Category 1 hurricane which has a maximum winds of 74-95 mph but there is a possibility that it may strengthen into a category 3 storm that could be very dangerous to human beings and it has the capability to cause structural damage and even large trees can be blown down. It can also cause flooding near the coastal areas which can destroy smaller structures that has no strong foundation. The first victim of hurricane Irene was a woman swept away in Puerto Rico. No matter what United States of America is going through, it can still surpass those trials. They can still overcome all the obstacles that is coming into their lives.
